Firstly I would like to give thanks and praise to Almighty God our Heavenly Father who has helped to guide and protect me through the many trials and tribulations in my life and this ever changing world.

I love my Heavenly Father as he has also blessed me with the gift of receiving true knowledge and the understanding of certain truths.

Although at times I may have initially failed to understand the many events that have occurred in my life I have now accepted it all in good faith and believe it has helped me become and appreciate the person I have become today. As a result of this journey I have learnt what I believe to be the truth.

I would like to thank my family including my parents and my two children for their love and support whilst helping me to continue with my journey in this experience in which we call ‘life’.

Finally I would like to thank those who I have loved and who have loved me in spirit, for helping to wake me up to the truth of this life, whilst also helping me to reach an even higher level of understanding, knowledge and consciousness.

I hope that by the writing of this work many others will come to know the truth about true love and true life and that it may manifest and bring a change of more knowledge, hope, peace, love and light into their lives.

Introduction

Finding true love or indeed a satisfying love is a concept that overwhelms the heart and it’s a never ending search that the soul and indeed our spirit desires to quench.

Everybody wants to fall in love and feel that feeling of bliss, joy and happiness. We search everywhere for love, indeed we even at times try to change ourselves, our core personality or persona to attract this love.

We may try to create a certain image of ourselves, perhaps wear certain clothes, or drive a fancy car, or even get a great job!

We aspire to be or look our best just so that we can attract the right person into our lives. All these things we may use to try and find a place or space in society to fit into.

In other words we try to reflect a role or image that we can use to identify ourselves.

In this sense we also use this image to express to others and the outside world who we are, or what type of values we want to portray, as in what we stand for and what is important to us.

Perhaps unconsciously we may also believe or hope to attract our true love, our social and emotional counterpart by reflecting who we are on the outside.

We have been preconditioned by society to some aspect in our understanding of how ‘love works’ and how to attain that love. We have been moulded mentally by the social rules of our environment and have been influenced by the information fed to us according to the norms and social behaviours of our particular upbringing.

Our values, ideas about love and our preconditioning, has been a result of all that our minds have been exposed to during our daily lives and experiences.

We have developed a preconceived idea of how we think true love works, or how it should work. Every experience of what love is and how love should be has been pre fed to us.

We have come to expect that we may need to conform to certain rules of behaviour to be worthy of real and true love.

It’s a fact that you can have family members, friends or associates that love and respect you for what you have achieved in your life and the image you portray, that’s why the terms ‘cool’ and ‘popular’ exist. You may be a ‘high flyer’ or a ‘go getter’.

Some may simply love you for who you are. However true love, is an idea based on a ‘high level’ of love due to the fact that it’s real and it’s true.

Love which is given and based upon your status or achievements or your external image and ‘model looks’ if you have them, is conditional love. It’s based upon the fact that these conditions must be met and remain in place, in order that the love continues to be given.

Love based on the physical attributes associated with a person’s status or situation is conditional. Those conditions must be present or the love will be lost.

Many love ties are based on conditional love, this type of love isn’t real love, its conditional love and true love is unconditional it has no conditions attached. This essentially means that love remains intact regardless of a change in a person’s circumstances.

To attain unconditional love means that you are loved for who you are and not what you are, or what your circumstances might be. You don’t need to present a certain image or portray yourself in a certain light, to be worthy of someone’s love.

There are no attachments or preconceived notions regarding who you are supposed to be, to receive this level of love, this love is unconditional and just is.

It’s given and received for who you are on the inside and not only for what you reflect on the outside. In order to find true love, you need to understand what love truly is and where it comes from.

In order to understand the concept of love in its true form and totality, it is necessary to understand the concept of God.

God is love and is the source of all unconditional true love. God loves us for who we are on the inside, not only for the way we present ourselves on the outside.

It’s also helpful to consider the concept of ‘self’, as in ‘who we are as individuals’ in relation to God.

I believe all of creation is in actual fact a physical manifestation of God’s love. I hope that by reading this work, you will see that everything I have written is according to my own personal beliefs, understanding and interpretation of what true love is in connection to the concept of true life.

Chapter 1

Why do we desire True Love?

Most people who have ever lived in this physical world or who have been a part of this earthly existence, have always had a deep yearning or need for love at some moment or point in their lives.

Some are overwhelmed by thoughts of finding the perfect love. They search for the ideal mate to create the ideal companionship; we believe the perfect person for us is out there somewhere.

Some people are literally obsessed with the notion of finding true love. This is due to the fact that from the moment we are born, we are bombarded with the notion that we must find love and true love at that. We learn the rules of how we think ‘love works’.

From the moment we are born we begin to understand how to obtain the love of those around us. We learn that if we do as we are told and follow the ‘rules’ we will get hugs, kisses and treats. If we do the opposite we can be reprimanded or punished.

We learn specific rules of behaviour and we develop the understanding that certain behaviours attract more love into our lives and certain actions will turn love away.

Although we see at times that love appears to come and go in and out of our lives, most of the time we have a real difficulty understanding why.

We are fed endless romantic movies, novels and billboards featuring young happy couples who are presumably ‘in love’. We are shown images of the perfect loving family.

Everyone loves the feeling of being ‘in love’ that magical feeling of waves of excitement pulsating through their veins and invigorating their senses.

Every sensation is heightened, there is that crazy intense chemistry; butterflies in the tummy, you feel alive and your mood is high.

You can’t stop smiling, you can’t eat or sleep and you can’t get the image of the one you love out of your mind.

Even your face is bright with the spark of love, your eyes glisten with light and life. You think about the person you love every single minute of the day!

You re-live every memory of the times spent together over and over in your mind. You desire to see that person again.

The complexion looks luminous, you feel good about yourself and you feel truly blessed and happy to be alive.

You begin to feel positive and fortunate to exist in the world. You have optimism and a real hope for the future. Finally you feel like you have a reason for being in the world and you have a real reason to carry on living!

All this is true and love is a wonderful feeling. As a result of this, we are taught that true love exists and that we should have it, but nobody ever explains to you what it really is and how you can find it!

It seems that most relationships of the modern age begin with elements of love, excitement and positive hopes for the future.

Along the way due to various external factors including the pressures, stresses and strains of life, this love tends to fade and the individual begins to feel disillusioned by the thought of ever finding real happiness in their relationship and in their lives.

A person can feel like the spark has gone out of their relationship and out of their life.

If you consider the fact that each person as part of a couple, usually gets into a relationship hoping to have a happy and successful lifetime partnership, it’s quite strange then, that each person usually ends up feeling empty, used, bored and unsatisfied still looking for true love and wondering if it really exists or if it is to be found somewhere else?

Other people may try to ignore this need for fulfilment and may choose other outlets of escapism to try and make themselves feel complete. Some individuals may try to obtain wealth, a high social status or a high social standing in their field of accomplishment.

Some may turn to alternative methods of fulfilment, including influences that may become detrimental to their spiritual, mental or physical wellbeing. We may use alternative sources of pleasure to distract us from the love that we truly desire.

Basically it is a good thing to have a purpose in life and I believe our journey involves finding out what that purpose is.

It is beneficial to have a focus in this life and to understand that the different aspects of ourselves spiritual, mental and physical need to be explored and have balance in order for us to understand and know who we really are.

I believe that ‘love’ is a need we all have deep inside and it is the way we find fulfilment, balance and happiness in our daily lives.

Whether you believe you can live, exist and function as a happy giving joyous person in this world without love is questionable? Some people believe that true love is something one may desire to find in one’s lifetime but may never truly attain it.

You can go through the experience of a variety of endless relationships and friendships trying to find love, acceptance and fulfilment.

Once you begin to realise that love is a basic need for each and every one of us, just like the daily necessities in life such as water, food and shelter then you will really begin to understand the beginning of all things and the real meaning of life.

Chapter 2

God is Love

In order to find true love and understand how to find it, we need to understand what love truly is and where it comes from. God our Creator and designer of all creation is love.

In 1 John chapter 4 verse 16 of the Holy Bible it says ‘And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him’.

God our Heavenly Father is a Spirit. In 1 John chapter 4 verse 12 it says ‘No man hath seen God at any time.  If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us’.

In order to know God and feel the presence of his love, we must worship and relate to him in spirit and in truth. In John chapter 4 verse 24 it says ‘God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth’. Your search for ‘true love’ is in actual fact a search for God, as God is love.

We cannot see God in the physical like we can see a human being, as things of the spiritual are unseen, but we have to use our heart and soul to feel a connection with the Spirit of God. By becoming humble and meek in spirit with a clean and pure heart we can seek to find the ‘Face of God’.

It takes spiritual discernment and faith to understand the things of God. Just because we cannot see something doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. Just as there exists a physical world, there are things which exist in an unseen world.

It is the things of the spirit including love that are in actual fact ‘real’. Just as God is a Spirit and he is real. If we desire to seek true love and find the Spirit of God, we will find God and find the love our hearts have always yearned for.

All of creation comes from God and is a manifestation of God’s love which in this physical world we perceive as form and matter.

Therefore I believe the whole universe is like an energy of some sort. It is the creation of God’s work and a composition of God’s love in the physical. We as beings in physical form have been created in God’s image.

God is a Spirit and he is Love, Light and Truth. I believe every living thing and every breathing soul has come to life by the Spirit of God, by the Word of God.

The breath of life, the spirit of love and life given by Almighty God was given to every living person, who lives by the breath. Human beings were made from dust and were given life by the breath, the Spirit of God.

Therefore we were given life by the Spirit, by God’s Word. Whilst we are alive in this world, we have a spirit which dwells inside the mortal body.

When a person departs from this world their spirit, the life force which kept them alive in this world, leaves their body and returns to God who gave it.

God is a Spirit and mankind was made in God’s image. In some sense I believe the image is love and righteousness in its purity.

However although we have our spirit abiding within us, that spirit only comes to know true love and ‘life’ when we choose to come to know and accept the gift of Christ.

When we come to abide in Jesus and his Words abide in us, we can find true life. Jesus tells us that his ‘Word’ is Spirit and Life.

By abiding in Jesus and coming to know his ‘Word’ we can find the truth and we can find true love and life.

I believe that in the beginning God created us to be beings of love made in the image of himself, the source of love. I believe that this was the original state of man and all things were composed of this love, as created by God in the very beginning.

To choose love, which is basically to choose God, is a choice, because it is assumed that to some extent God gave us our own free will.

If that is correct then we have the ability to choose love. God is love and that love is given to us feely by God if we choose to accept his love. I believe our higher rightful essence is goodness and love.

We can become a reflection of God’s pure unconditional love on earth, if we choose to have and follow Jesus in our lives.

The mind of the human man is somewhat limited in understanding some spiritual things, but I believe as we grow in faith, learn who we are on the inside and put on the ‘Mind of Christ’ we can come to know God more and develop our understanding of many things.

We know that God is love, so the more we connect and worship God in truth via our spirit the more love we will come to know in our own selves.

The more we connect to God through prayer and the reading of his Word the more knowledge we will gain.

We will obtain a deeper spiritual insight into our understanding of God and slowly begin to discern things of the spirit and ‘God’s Will’ for our own lives.

As love is a connection made and received through the spirit that love is given unto an individual’s spirit, as a blessing from God.

God is love and he is one Lord and he is a Spirit. He is the giver of all things of the spirit including Truth, Wisdom and Love. These things are not given unto the body but fed unto the open heart of the spirit.

An individual’s heart has to be open to receive these spiritual gifts. If your heart is hardened you will not be able to receive the gifts that God may want to give you.

This all begins with an open heart and an unclouded mind regarding the true knowledge of his existence and that he has always been in existence and will always exist throughout all eternity.

Once you come to know him, you will begin to better understand yourself and who you are, the spiritual aspect of who you are.

Once you recognise God’s love inside of you, then you will truly begin to recognise who you are in relation to God and that God and his love is the real truth.

You can open your heart to the truth of God through prayer, when you open your heart you will connect through your heart to God. You must open your heart to discern things of the spirit and hear the voice of God speak unto your spirit.

A hardened heart cannot see the truth and the reality of all things. You have to pray to God and ask him to open your heart so that you can hear his voice. If you open your heart you will begin to discern the things of God, including true love.

An individual has to know love to truly know God, as God is love. If you come to know God, you will come to know what love truly is.

You will come to know that ‘God is love’ and that things that are not of ‘love’ are not of his and cannot be of the True Living God.

Anything that is not of love is not from the True Living God of all creation. Anything that teaches against love or the opposite of love, is not of God, but is a lie.

In 1 John chapter 4 verse 7 it says ‘Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God’. Chapter 8 goes on to say ‘He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love’.

In order to find true love and the source of love, as in find the True Living God himself, we need to once again return in our minds to understand how it was in the beginning.

We need to become love ourselves and that begins by knowing and having a relationship with Jesus Christ, the only Begotten Son of God.

In John Chapter 3 verse 16 it says ‘For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life’.

According to the Word of God, Jesus came forth from the Father manifest as flesh for the redemption of mankind and he and the Father are one.

Every person was born a sinner, born into this sinful world. Jesus was free from sin and came into the world to save mankind from their sins.

Every sinner needs to be cleansed from sin, so we can be reconciled fully to God’s love. In order to be cleansed from our sin and truly walk in love again we need to believe in Jesus and believe that he died on the cross to save us from our sins, so that we can be forever reconciled to God and his eternal love.

By having faith in Jesus we are saved by grace through faith, otherwise non faith will mean that a person will die in their sins.

There is no other way to be reconciled to God’s love for all eternity unless we are cleansed from our sins and after the coming of Jesus, accepting Jesus as Lord and Saviour is the only way. There is no other name by which we can be saved and live forever in God’s eternal love.

In Acts chapter 4 verse 10 it says ‘Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Is’rael , that by the name of Jesus Christ of Naz’a-reth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand whole’. Chapter 12 says ‘Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved’.

We cannot be saved by our works alone. What a person may consider to be a good work of charity, fasting, self-sacrifice, abstinence or any other deed, is not sufficient alone to give you any kind of salvation. We are not saved alone by performing sacrificial acts and good works, we are ‘Saved by Grace’.

When we have faith and accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, through our faith we are ‘Saved by Grace’. It is through faith that we can find salvation.

Once we are saved by grace we can begin to understand God’s true love for us and see what true love really is.

In Ephesians chapter 2 verse 8 and 9 it says’ For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.’  I believe Jesus was given to mankind as a gift, that through our faith in him, we may be reconciled with God and have everlasting life and love.

Each individual will have to decide whether or not to accept this gift. This gift is eternal salvation through the love of God and is received by grace through faith.

The way to God’s eternal love and salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, no other name under heaven has been given to intercede on our behalf and through him alone has authority been given as the way to our salvation.

There is no way to the Father’s love except through the Son. At no point are we told that works alone are the way to God’s everlasting life and love.

God the Father, loved us so much that he sent Jesus the only Begotten Son of God, so that through faith in him we might be saved.

By having belief in the work that Jesus fulfilled for us, we can see what true love really is. Jesus was full of Grace and Truth and by loving us and doing the Will of the Father, he completed the work that he was sent to do.

Jesus came so that we could have ‘life’ and have it more abundantly. He was the image of the love of the Father. The sacrifice Jesus made on the cross showed the love that God truly has for each and every one of us.

In John chapter 14 verse 1 it says that Jesus spoke and said ’Let your heart not be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me’. All sinners need to be removed from their sins. All people need to believe the words of Jesus and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and saviour.

As we have fellowship with Jesus Christ his love will come to dwell in our hearts and abide in us, just as the Father’s love dwells in him. True love, the love of God will then abide in us and we can then share that love with others.

We have to walk in love, which is to walk with God, who is a Spirit and the giver of all love, by which we will come to know more love within ourselves.

We must have fellowship and come to know the love of God through Jesus the only Begotten Son, by which way we will know we are the children of the True Living God.

Once we come to know this: that we came from love and that God is love, then we will come to know the truth of who we really are and understand that the purpose of this life is for us to realise this and to reconcile us to God through the love of Jesus.

You must realise and make sense of who you are on the inside, before you can understand and make any sense of anything on the outside.

If you don’t understand the truth which dwells on the inside, how can you expect to make any real sense of what is happening around you on the outside? It all starts from within.

The real essence of who you are on the inside, came from the love of the Living God. You have to realise the beginning in order to find the end and the beginning of all things including love came from the True Living God. Jesus is the only true path for salvation and the redemption of our sins.

In Ephesians chapter 1 verses 5, 6 and 7 it says ‘Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will.  To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;’

Chapter 3

Finding the Self

When reading the Holy Bible we are told that the human existence of man is divided into different aspects, such as the spirit, the soul and the body as in ‘the flesh’. The body is described as the temple of the soul.

The body is simply the shell. Our spirit and soul are the real aspects of who we are on the inside. We have a spirit and a soul, an unseen element of our being that may influence our actions in this lifetime.

The physical aspect of ourselves the body on the outside, is just the physical component of who we are, it is simply the carrier and the container which is holding our ‘true self’, the part of us that is the element of soul and spirit. The material body is therefore described as the ‘temple’.

The spirit and soul aspect of a man on the inside is unseen, it exists but we cannot see it with the physical eye, but I believe the spirit and soul are the real part of what makes us who we are.

Just as God is real, but cannot be physically seen with the physical eye, the real aspect of who we are, exists inside of us, but cannot be physically seen either. The fact that we recognise that love is an emotional response felt from within, shows us that we truly do exist on the inside.

This is also evidence that the love of the True Living God exists within us. How we choose to conduct and live our lives is influenced by the unseen aspects of who we are within.

The body on the outside is simply the case that carries around the spiritual life force within us. I would see this quite similar to a basket that carries around a load of fruit and veg.

The fruit and veg inside the basket, is more important to a hungry person than the basket that simply carries around the food! In the same way who we are on the inside, is more relevant and significant compared to who we are on the outside.

Love and how we access love is via the spiritual aspect of ourselves, which is the inner part of us. Love is not something attained by the physical but it is how we connect via our spirit essence.

I believe the more attached we are to this physical realm, the less true love we will come to know, as true love is found through our relationship with God and God is found through the spirit.

The attainment of physical comforts and possessions in this world may not draw you closer to God’s love. Attending a particular building or becoming a member of any particular group may not bring you closer to the love of God. God’s love is found through the open heart of the individual.

It’s personal and you have to have a personal relationship in spirit by opening your heart to the voice of Jesus. The physical things of this world are temporary and will pass away so how can they draw you closer to the love of God? Whereas the things of God including the love of God will abide forever.

The more you become one with God in your spirit and develop your desire for heavenly things and the things of God, instead of worldly things, the more true love will come to abide in your heart, as God is love.

And you will understand that the presence of God’s love in your heart will mean more to you than any worldly possession, comfort or desire.

Once you become one with God, that true love will dwell within you, as I personally believe it was God’s intention and purpose for all mankind in the very beginning.

It seems to make sense to believe that the way we choose to conduct our every action and our beliefs in regards to who we truly are, may influence where we believe we may find our salvation. This will determine where we will go after we have completed our journey in this physical realm.

The choices made whilst we are in the body, whether we choose to walk in love and be led by the Spirit of God inside us, may determine where we spend our eternity?

For this reason if we hope to receive God’s everlasting love and eternal salvation, it is vital that we feed and nourish our soul and spirit with goodness, just as a hungry man desires a basket full of fruit and veg goodness to feed his stomach!

A person who maintains a near ‘perfect appearance’ on the outside but is spiritually lacking on the inside, may become as inadequate as a brand new fruit basket, which is full of useless old and expired fruit and veg inside the basket!

Just as we choose to keep in shape and look after our material bodies on the outside, it is of more use and importance to feed the spirit and soul on the inside.

The body on the outside like all things on the outside, will decay, grow old and pass away! If we truly want true love in our lives, it makes more sense to invest in the knowledge of the spiritual things of God including his love, which is real and does not decay and will never ever end or pass away!

How we treat and view ourselves on the inside is crucial to how we come to view and see all things in the world on the outside. How we respect our spirit and soul on the inside, is vital in comparison to how we treat and respect our bodies on the outside.

Yes, maintaining a nice physical body is important, but how you treat the life force, your spirit inside your body may determine whether or not you have access to God’s love for all eternity? So how we treat that which is inside is of more importance to us.

I believe every action you perform in the body, affects the spirit on the inside, as everything we do affects how we feel.

Every action done in the body will either have a positive or negative reaction and effect on the spirit on the inside. Every action will either feed our spirit with more goodness and love, or move us away from the feeling of love.

Just as everything we see, hear and do will either bring us closer or further away from the remembrance of God’s love and God consciousness. How God conscious we are, may determine how much we walk in love and how much love we personally experience during our lives.

We must always remember, the spirit and the soul which is on the inside, although unseen, is the more significant aspect of who we truly are, in comparison to the physical body on the outside, which is just flesh.

That flesh is only for temporary use, in this temporary world and will turn to dust when the spirit leaves the body upon death.

So in order to receive some understanding in our minds during our lifetime in this world, we need to come to realise who we truly are in our soul and spirit. We need to know how important it is to nourish our spirit in this world to find the love we truly desire.

We need to accept the love of Jesus and his love for us, before the spirit leaves the body. Once the spirit leaves the body, the spirit is returned back to God and then that person’s journey on earth is finished.

All lessons learned or not learned will come to an end I guess? Once we leave this world, will the opportunity to find true salvation and the path to God’s true everlasting love end? I don’t have the answer to that!

Therefore the question we all need to consider now whilst we are here in this world is; would we like to experience God’s love forever? And where would we like to spend our eternity?

Would we like to be reconciled to God forever in his love and have everlasting life, or would we prefer to end up somewhere else? Could you imagine an existence without having any love? No it’s not a nice thought at all! Is it?

If we waste our time only toiling for worldly things to make us so called ‘rich’ that will be a waste of our precious time. Money and possessions will all one day pass away.

If we strive using the majority of our time to gain the things of this world, instead of using the time to find out who we truly are, we will die not knowing how rich we truly are, as children of the True Living God.

We will die not knowing what it means to be truly ‘rich’. It’s only by looking at the inside that we will find and see who we really are and how rich we truly are.

In order to understand the love that we are, we need to learn about the spiritual aspect of ourselves. This will give us an understanding of who we are as individuals, in regards to what our true purpose is in this world and who we are in connection to our Creator.

The way we learn who we are in our spirit is by reading the ‘Word’ of God and by praying to God for guidance and direction.

The reading of God’s ‘Word’ will give you spiritual insight into who you are and how to obtain the true love and peace that you desire.

Once we invite Jesus into our hearts and begin to read God’s Word, our real eyes, our spiritual eyes, such as our hearts will be opened. I believe the heart is the door we need to open to Jesus. Our heart reveals truth and spirit is truth.

Once we open the door of our hearts to Jesus then we will be able to read God’s Word with understanding and find the truth as the ‘Word’ will speak unto our spirit. The ‘Word’ of God will begin to show us spiritual truths; the things that we cannot see with the physical eye, are the real truth.

The more you begin to open your heart to God and read his Word the more you will begin to understand what is being spoken onto you. Once you invite Jesus into your heart and you are reborn by the Spirit, I believe if it is God’s Will, you will find comfort and guidance, to guide you to all truth.

Once you receive that understanding you will go through this world and make better sense of things. You will learn not to always interpret something according to your own rationale and understanding, but to trust in the wisdom of God.

We need to continually renew the Spirit of our minds by constantly reconnecting to God.  We need to remember in our minds that we came into existence by the Word of God.

I believe that we are to worship God in spirit and in truth; so we always need to be true to ourselves and we need to take proper care of what we ‘feed’ the spirit of our minds. By ‘feed’ I mean we must be careful and aware of all that we allow to go into our minds.

In time we will learn to recognise what is positive, negative, beneficial and destructive to the spirit of our minds.

I believe that everything that enters the mind will have an affect subconsciously and will lead someone towards love or in the opposite direction. The more we walk according to the love and goodness of the spirit of God, the more we will learn to neglect the destructive elements of the flesh.

We need to always remember and think? Is a particular activity giving us thoughts in our minds that bring us closer or further away from the remembrance of the love of God? Does it bring more love into our hearts and mind? Or make us feel less loving?

We also need to renew the spirit of our minds by keeping fellowship with God through prayer and the reading of God’s Word. We need to come to know the true love of God through Jesus.

As well as being granted a renewed heart of love and a sound God conscious mind, we may also be blessed with more wisdom. You will then begin to experience true love and know that the love of God brings peace.

Once you begin to understand certain truths, that truth will give you peace. I believe that God loves us so much that he wants to set us free from the chains of this world, so we can find peace within.

My belief is that God wants us to know the truth, which is love. In John Chapter 8 verse 32 it says Jesus spoke and said ‘And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free’. God is the Truth, so the more we know God through knowing Jesus; the more we will know truth, the more we know love. And it is God’s love which brings real joy to the heart.

Chapter 4

We have a Spiritual element inside our Physical being

Essentially mankind always look at the outside of a man, however God looks at our hearts, the inside of a man, because who we truly are, is to be found on the inside. Just look at yourself in the mirror and you will see that you have a spirit dwelling inside of you.

See what is in front of you inside, then you will know more of what is outside of you. The open heart will show you the real you. The heart I believe relates to who we are in the spirit part of ourselves. I believe we connect to God through our hearts.

The more understanding we have of God and the more we seek him, the more he may bless us with the blessing of his love.

The more understanding we receive about who we are on the inside, the more open we become to God’s Will for our lives on the outside. I believe to reside in true love and have that love reside in your spirit, whilst still on earth, is one of God’s blessings and is the path to finding true life.

In order to find true life you must recognise who you are on the inside. When you realise who you are on the inside that you came from the love of God, you will understand that the truth is beyond that which you can physically see and that truth is the love of God that abides within.

We as individuals in this earthly realm of existence are all on a journey of growth and understanding. I believe that journey is about us learning to remember our connection to God and for us to learn who we truly are in our spirit.

We are here on a journey in physical form and have been born in the flesh as physical beings of flesh and bones for a reason. However, although we learn lessons through experience by having a physical existence, I believe the real journey is the journey of a person’s spirit, within that body.

As discussed in the previous chapter, as well as having a physical fleshy presence here on earth, we also have the non-physical aspect of ourselves which we cannot see but we ‘feel’; this I would describe as the spiritual element of ourselves. We know it exists because we ‘think’ and we also have intellect and emotion.

We all have feelings, some of us are more emotionally engaged than others, but we all have the ability to experience thought and ‘feel’ sensations within our physical bodies.

We have some level of consciousness in our hearts and minds. At what level we choose to embrace this consciousness may depend on the journey of the soul held by the individual.

This ability to exist and feel is a part of us and we are consciously aware of it, regardless of our physical circumstances. Whether or not we have use of all of our physical bodily functions, as long as we have ‘life’ and are alive in this physical manifestation, then we still have use of our spiritual selves in this world.

The spirit continues to dwell as long as it remains in the body, regardless of how we are able to use that body. This illustrates that the spirit exists and is a part of who we truly are.

To understand and comprehend this physical existence you have to understand that you have a spirit and connect to God and the things of God in spirit.

The more you understand the spiritual nature of all things the more you will be able to relate to the things of God. You need to understand that God is the Truth and the Truth which is God, is ‘Spirit’. So therefore things of the spirit are of the truth.

I believe God created this world and created all things in Spirit and in Truth because all that ever was, that was ever made, was made through him.

He alone is the Lord, the First and the Last, the Alpha and Omega and all things including love came from him and were made by him. He is the True Living Lord, the beginning and the end, full of Might and worthy of all Glory.

As a result of the ‘fall of man’ in the beginning, we in this lifetime may have ‘felt’ a separation from God consciousness and awareness in our spirit. This is a perception that we may have had, as a result of sins and not having had a proper relationship with God through knowing Jesus.

This is why people seek ‘love’ and loving relationships it’s because they have a desire in their spirit to fill the void and emptiness for the love they feel they have ‘lost’.

The only thing they are missing is God consciousness and a closeness with God felt within the heart and mind. What they are missing and wanting is God, because God is love.

Truly knowing God’s love is a peace of mind that cannot be found through anything else. If you have a mind that lacks God consciousness or disbelieves in the existence of God, then you’re spirit may be without true peace and at times may feel ‘dead and lifeless’ or ‘loveless’.

Jesus is the way to fill that feeling, the void of emptiness, the craving for true love. That feeling of emptiness in your heart and mind which tells you that true love is out there somewhere, is your longing to the know the truth; the truth which is the love found through knowing Jesus.

The love you have always desired has been here for you all along, you may just have not been truly ready to find it before?

Without Jesus in our lives we are left to the forces of darkness at work in this world, which fight against love. Without Jesus in our lives we can do nothing to fill this void of emptiness, or these feelings of fear, worry, doubt or confusion.

Until an individual knows the love of Jesus they will continue to search endlessly for this love and they will continue to yearn for this love in their spirit. They will continue to try and find unconditional love through relationships and other outlets.

The perception of love which is dependent upon the love of another in this world loving you, is temporary. You have to know God the source of love, for love and fulfilment to be everlasting.

Anything void of God will not last forever and is temporary. Only the love which exists through knowing the True Living God can be everlasting.

When you accept Jesus as your Everlasting Lord and read his ‘Word’ you will see that his Words are ‘Spirit and Life’.

And through knowing him and obeying his commandment to love, you can inherit true love which is not based upon the limitations of time associated with this world, but is love that will last forever.

It seems the gift of life, the spirit that God has already given you, is evidence in itself that you are naturally a being of love in your spirit. I believe that love resides in the spirit, the spirit that God breathed into us, to give us life.

Every individual decides to walk in that love and be led by the Spirit of God or walk according to the desires of the flesh. This choice may determine whether or not you feel the fullness of God’s love in your life.

The more you decide to walk according to the goodness and love in your spirit through knowing Jesus, the more of God’s love will come to abide in you.

God has already given you a spirit of love and life, but if you haven’t yet opened the door of your heart to Jesus and are still dead in your sins, then your spirit has not yet come to ‘know’ true life.

I believe that God has given us a natural need and desire for this love in our spirit, this is why people search for love, or desire to give and receive love.

I believe this need reminds us that we are all in need of God’s love and can do nothing without him. You will continue to yearn for love, which is a need and want of God until you find the truth.

Jesus is the way to find true love. Of course not everyone may have this yearning for love, it may depend upon the desire of the individual soul. However, anyone looking and searching for true love and goodness, does have this desire in their spirit to know the real love of the True Living God.

To find the truth in this world, you have to become spiritually minded, you have to think about yourself in regards to your soul and spirit.

To only think about yourself as a physical body and the meaning of life in terms of fleshy worldly things, is to be carnally minded. And having a carnal mind will not benefit you in your search for true love, it will lead you away from the things of God.

To use your mind to understand that true life resides in the things of the spirit, is to be spiritually minded. You need to put on the ‘Mind of Christ’, to come closer to God, to move closer to love and the true love you desire.

True love everlasting is not to be found in the temporary meaningless things of this physical world, but it’s to be found in the realm of God, as God the source of all truth and love is a Spirit.

To confirm then, God is a Spirit and to be conscious of the truth which are the things of God, you have to put on a spiritual mind, not a physical carnal mind.

By putting on a spiritual mind you can find God and find true everlasting love. When you recognise that true love and life resides in feeding the spirit and not the flesh, you will find yourself becoming spiritually minded.

The way you put on a spiritual mind is through knowing Jesus Christ. By knowing Jesus you will be led by the Spirit of God, to know the truth in your heart and mind. You will find yourself on the path to all truth including true love.

In Romans chapter 8 verse 5 it says ‘For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit’. Chapter 6 says ‘For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace’.

I believe if we view things with a spiritual mind opposed to a physical mind it can help us to overcome the trials and tribulations of life and walk in love despite the things we may have been through and the things we are yet to experience.

The more we walk in love and show love to others the better we can overcome all negative things and have more love in our lives.

I believe every experience whether painful or pleasurable leads us to learn more about ourselves and who we are in our spirit. It shows us how much love we can offer to others despite the needs we have for ourselves. Every encounter develops the spirit and moulds us into who we are to become.

Adversity and hardship although very painful, can help us to ‘feel’, look into ourselves and see who we really are on the inside, how much love we have to give to others.

I believe everything we go through helps us to learn about who we are and may help to show us and remind us that we need to put God and the things of God first in our lives. We are all connected to other people; we all came from God so we are all connected.

I believe it is how we choose to use that knowledge to love others, develop our understanding and become the person we are meant to be; this is the key to self-awareness and personal growth, how much we actively love one another, despite our own challenges.

Our experiences can show us how strong we are and how we can still try to walk in love and show love to others despite the hardship and difficult events we may have personally experienced.

By accepting the love of Jesus and knowing Jesus as our personal saviour, then we can also choose to follow his commandment to love, despite the burdens we may carry. When we love and know the love he truly has for each one of us, his love will also come to abide in us.

He loved us sinners so much; he gave up his life to save us, despite his own trials and burdens he put his love for others first and did the Will of the Father. The love of Jesus is the love that will last forever.

In John chapter 15 verse 10 it says that Jesus spoke and said

‘If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love’. In John chapter 14 Verse 23 it says that Jesus spoke and said ‘If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him and make our abode with him’.

By knowing Jesus the love you need will abide inside and by understanding that you need to put on a ‘Spiritual Mind’ by accepting the gift of Jesus, the love of God inside you, will come to ‘life’.

It will become fully functional and ‘Alive’. This love is the love of God that will last and abide forever. You will come to find true love and understand yourself as a child of the Living God.

In Romans chapter 8 verse 16 it says ‘The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit that we are the children of God’. Once you accept God’s gift of salvation through faith in Jesus, the love of Jesus will come to abide in you.

Although you may still experience hurdles in your life, knowing that there is the love of God and life everlasting, will help to keep you strong and get you through the daily challenges of this world.

You can have a life full of true love and peace that will abide in your heart now, that doesn’t depend solely on another person in this world loving you or showing you love.

Although it is nice to be ‘in love’ or have others around that love you, you can experience love through Jesus, which never ends or fades away.

This is the unconditional love of God. God’s love for us has no conditions attached, he simply loves us for who we are. There is nothing that can separate us from the love that God has for us. This love is given freely through Jesus who loves you.

Jesus also instructs us and gives us the commandment to love one another. John chapter 15 verse 17 ‘These things I command you, that ye love one another’. You can have joy inside your spirit if you only open your heart to Jesus and follow his commandments to love others.

By loving others, we will come to know more love within ourselves. The more love you give, the more love you will receive.

The more love you give and receive the more peace you will know. I believe that to know Jesus and follow in his commandment to love others, is the source of life and peace on earth and the way to everlasting life.

Chapter 5

To become One with God is to become One with True Love

If you are one with God then you are one with eternal life; God is eternal life and God is the Lord of the living. God is a ‘Spirit’. Spirit is eternal and the Spirit of God is Eternal.

Spirit always has been and always will be. True life and true love is of the spirit and is to be found within the spirit. I believe that God created us with the intention of granting us the gift of eternal life.

The key to finding true life which is to dwell in God’s everlasting true love, is to first know yourself and understand yourself in spirit. Once you understand that God is love and love is real and is of the spirit, it all makes sense.

The physical world is simply a manifestation of things created in the spirit. You have to come to know yourself in your spirit through prayer to God to understand the things of God and to become one with God.

God is love, we cannot see love, but we know it exists. Love is the truth and everything that is not of love, is not of the truth. By understanding that you can be one with God is to know yourself in spirit.

You need to identify the love inside you, you need to see and know the spirit inside you. Once you accept Jesus and become one in spirit with God through the love of Jesus, then you will know true life and true love.

This physical world isn’t the real life, things that are real are of the spirit. Real life is to be found by being led by the Spirit of God; to know the truth we have to realise this.

I believe we may find the gift of true life through Jesus Christ, when we choose to accept this truth, by having true belief in the words and work of Jesus.

God loved you, that’s why he created you. The spirit that God breathed into you, to give you your life dwells inside of you.

When you come to accept the gift of Jesus, more of God’s love, will come to dwell within you. Your spirit will come to ‘Life’ and come to see and know that love.

Then you will know that true love is the love of God. John chapter 5 verse 12 says ‘He that hath the son hath life; and he that hath not the son of God hath not life’.

I believe this passage refers to the spirit part of man; it seems to tell us that if we have and know the love of Jesus during our earthly lives then we will be alive in the physical, as well as in our spirit, whilst we go through this physical journey.

I believe that until we know Jesus, the spirit inside the body will not know true life. Unless we know the truth, we cannot see the truth.

Once we become one with the Son and have the Son, we become one with the Father also, as the Father and the Son are one. The Son came manifest as flesh from the Father and they are one. The Lord God is one Lord. The Lord God is a Spirit.

And to understand God, we have to understand he is One Lord and a Spirit. You must understand that the Father and the Son are ‘One’ not separate but ‘One’. The Father is in the Son and the Son in the Father.

Everything that belongs to the Father belongs to the Son. You must know the Son in order to know the Father as they are ‘One’.

You cannot have or know the Father without having and knowing the Son. Once your spirit becomes one with Jesus you will become one with the love of the True and Living God.

I believe that God wants to give us all the gift of love and true everlasting life. I believe he wants us to be restored to ‘Oneness’ how I believe it was in the beginning.

No two people are exactly the same. Every living person was created unique and special. You are special and were created for a purpose and a reason.

God may have chosen to create you, because he wants to give you this gift. It is up to you to choose to accept this gift. The gift is free and the price has already been paid for you through the coming of Jesus and his sacrifice for our sins on the cross.

God loved us all so much that he sent his only Begotten Son into the world to save us all and give us the chance to have eternal life. It is the gift of eternal life through knowing the True Living God by believing in the Words of Jesus Christ.

Jesus was free of all sin and his sacrifice was necessary so that sinners could be reconciled to God. Jesus loved us so much that he shed his blood and laid down his life for us.

He is the only way by which sinners can receive salvation. That’s how much love God has for us, he gives us so much time to find the truth; I believe he wants us all to come to know the truth and return to him and return to our original state of ‘Oneness’.

God is good, he does not wish for any of us to perish, that’s why he sent Jesus the Lamb of God, to cleanse us and wash us of all our sins. I genuinely believe that the Lord God Almighty created us to have love, life, peace and happiness everlasting forever.

I believe he wants us to turn to him again and again in prayer; return our hearts to him whilst we are still here on earth.

He wants us to confess our sins and repent so that he can forgive us and give us our heart’s desire. I believe God wants us to acknowledge him as our loving Creator and give thanks for the blessings he has given us and wants to give us.

My understanding is that God wants to guide us and give us the love, joy and ‘oneness’ that we desire. This subconscious state of ‘Oneness’ and completion cannot be found through material things because it comes by the spirit. Material things can often benefit the flesh but cannot always nourish our spirit.

You must find Jesus now whilst you still have the breath of the spirit in you, to access that which is real. You don’t need anything else in this world, but to open your ears and hear the voice of Jesus, as he will provide for you and guide you into all truth.

God understands everything that you have been through in your life and he wants to make your life here better for you. The feeling of ‘Oneness’ and peace that comes through knowing Jesus is the only source to give you lasting assurance and fulfilment in this lifetime.

The relationship you have with God and knowing you are one with the True Living God, will help to strengthen and empower you during your walk on this journey.

God may grant you the blessing of more love, wisdom, knowledge and understanding. I believe that God truly wants to save all people and bless us with real love and happiness now and forevermore.

God is full of all wisdom and mercy, he loves us all so much. He is the source of ‘Love’; he is Eternal and if you are one with God then I believe you will receive his gift of love and true life for eternity.

God loves you and the love he has for you is real and true as he is the Truth. I believe that to understand the ‘Oneness’ of everything, is the understanding we need to reach a place of seeing the real truth in all things.

All and everything came from God and everything that was made, was made by God. I believe then it makes sense to see that as all came from God and God is One, then everything came from that ‘Oneness’.

I believe God wants us to receive understanding and see this truth. I believe we are to become one with all things through the love of God and then become one with each other, just like the Father and Son are one. I believe that to become one in the love of God, is to become one with eternal life.

My feeling is that the way we join together and become one with all, is through love. Jesus is the way to this truth. You have to become one with God and understand that God is ‘One’. All that ever was and ever will be, came from God.

I believe that true understanding of this oneness begins when you open your heart to the love of Jesus. I believe that all and everything was originally ‘one love’. It is only God that can guide to this understanding of one love. Only God can reveal the true path and bring all things to one’s remembrance.

Chapter 6

God is Light and God is Love

God is love and God is light; God is light and in him there is no darkness at all. When you find true love by opening your heart to God through Jesus, then you will find the true light.

God’s light will lead you out of the darkness and into the light of all understanding. The understanding that love is the truth.

Darkness I believe is a lack of light and love. As God is light and love, if you have no real understanding or knowledge of the light and love of God, then you will remain in darkness.

Your journey and purpose during this lifetime is to find your way through the darkness to the path of God’s everlasting love and light. Knowing the ‘Love’ and ‘Light’ of Jesus and following the ways of Jesus, is the path to God’s Eternal Light.

The light of Jesus will show you the way to everlasting light, which is true ‘life’. Through knowing Jesus we can know the True Living God and the way to everlasting life. Jesus is the light of the world.

In John chapter 12 verse 35 it says Jesus spoke and said’ Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth’.  Any walk that is void of the true light and love of Jesus, is a path of darkness.

Walking around in a state of darkness is a walk of emptiness and lack of true vision. When you are lost or stuck in a state of confusion and can’t see the right way to go, that is not a good feeling at all!

In order to find the love and life we so truly desire, we need to follow the light of Jesus. Jesus was the only Begotten Son of God and the true light of God.

He is the true light of God made manifest in the flesh. In John Chapter 8 verse 12 it says Jesus spoke and said ‘I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life’.

In order to find our way back to the love of God we need to follow the guiding light of Jesus. By seeing the light of Jesus we can see the way to go. If there is no light in us, then there is darkness; we need the light of Jesus abiding within us so that we may find our way to God’s love and see the way to go.

In John chapter 12 verse 45 it says Jesus spoke and said ‘And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me’. Verse 46 goes on to say ‘I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness’.

Jesus is the way to the truth, and the light which is true everlasting life. He is the only way to the love that will fulfil the deep desires of the soul. John chapter 14 verse 6 says Jesus spoke and said: ‘I am the way, the truth and the life no man cometh unto the father, but by me’.

The way we find the light is by following Jesus and the way we do that is by obeying his commandments to love the Lord thy God and to love one another.

Love is the truth and love is the way to the light. Having love in our hearts now, through our relationship with Jesus, is the way to God’s everlasting true love and light.

If you take a minute to think then you will understand that everything has been created the way it is for a reason and a purpose. I also believe that all things happen for a reason.

The fact that we have the darkness of night and the light of the day, illustrates that the light was made for us to see what we are doing and where we are going.

We need the light so we can function, so we can go about performing our daily duties and activities during the day. Whether you are going to work, buying your shopping, or trying to park your car, you need the light to see the way.

During the night we need rest and during the light of the day, we can see where we need to go. We need the light to see, so if there is no light we cannot see the way. So if we cannot see the way, how will we know the way to go?

The light that shines each day from the sun, enables us to see and gives us the light so that we can achieve tasks in our daily lives.

I believe that we need light in this physical world to see where we are physically going and we need to open our hearts to the light of God through Jesus, so we can see where to go within.

In other words we need to see the way to go within ourselves spiritually, as this is the way to God and all truth. I believe that it’s found outside of ourselves by becoming one in love with others and is also a place we need to find within. We need the light to show us the way in our soul and spirit.

We need to continually nourish and feed the spirit element of ourselves with God’s eternal light to be able to see the way. Just as the light from the sun shines to nourish the elements on earth, we need the light and love of God inside, to nourish and guide us to all truth from within.

We also need the light of God in our lives to give us peace and to help us to grow in understanding within our hearts and mind.

We need physical food to feed our physical bodies but we need God’s light and love for our spiritual wellbeing and understanding to become the beings God intended us to be. This growth and development begins by knowing the light of Jesus.

The light reveals and darkness conceals. So if you are in the love of Jesus, then things will be clearly revealed to you, if you are without Jesus you will remain in darkness without the love you truly desire.

What benefit can it serve anyone to remain in a state where the truth is concealed? If you do not come to the light of Jesus, then how will you see the light of the truth?

Without the guidance of Jesus, the truth will remain hidden from you and you will not be able to discern the truth, find the life and see the way. If we all seek the light now we can all leave the darkness behind.

Jesus is the light that reveals the truth, which are the things of God. Jesus came into the world that those who cannot see the light of the truth, might see.

In John chapter 9 verse 39 it says that Jesus spoke and said ‘For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.

You need to follow the light of Jesus to see the truth and to see where you are going. And knowing Jesus and seeing the truth will help you become blind to the lies, falsehoods and distractions of this temporary material world.

Knowing Jesus will help you to set your heart upon heavenly treasures which are eternal, opposed to earthly desires which benefit no one and nothing in the long term, as they will all come to nothing in the end. Earthly treasures will all perish and pass away.

The more you abide in the darkness of this world, its lies, false attractions and the temporary things of this physical realm, the further away you will be from God’s Glorious Love and Light.

If you really want to find true love that never ends then it’s pointless to labour and set your heart on the things of this world, all of which you cannot take.

It makes more sense to set your heart and focus upon heavenly things and the Love of God, as that love will last forever.

In John chapter 6 verse 27 it says Jesus spoke and said ‘Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.

The only way to the Eternal Love of the Father is through the Eternal Love of the Son as they are ‘One’.

In John chapter 13 verse 36 it says Jesus spoke and said ‘While ye have the light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light’.

If you want to have love and light for all eternity you need to find the light and follow the light now. You need to seek the light of Jesus and let that light manifest in your heart and mind.

Another sign that I believe God has put in place for us to consider, is the gift of water. Just as the elements of the earth need the light of the sun to flourish and grow to their full potential and maturity, they also need the rain.

All living things need water and light to function and grow, or they will perish. In the same way God shows us that we need water to nourish and lead our spirit within.

We need physical water to quench our physical thirst and to cleanse our physical bodies. However, we also need the ‘Living water’ given by Jesus to nourish and give spiritual ‘life’ unto our spirit. The Living Water given by Jesus, will quench the thirst that is desired by the spirit.

Living water is the water of ‘Life’ that God will give to lead our spirit to the truth. The ‘Living waters’ given by God through Jesus unto the spirit, is used to guide us, wake us up from this mortal sleep of spiritual unconsciousness and lead us on the path to the immortality of everlasting life and true fulfilling love.

In John chapter 4 verse 14 it says Jesus spoke and said ‘But whosoever drinketh of this water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life’.

By coming to Jesus you can have the gift of ‘Living water’. This water is the way to the true love that you desire. As well as giving us this water to feed and nourish our spirit. Jesus is also the ‘Bread of life’.

By coming to Jesus we can eat of the True Bread from heaven. In John chapter 6 verse 33 it says that Jesus spoke and said ‘For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world’. Verse 35 says ‘I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst’.

I believe that this ‘Bread’ which is found through Jesus, is the life and the truth. This ‘Living Bread’ is the way to God’s eternal love and light. This is the path to the true love and light that your soul has always desired. T

This is the ‘bread of life’ and ‘Living water’ that your soul and spirit requires to find real fulfilment in your life now and life everlasting in the world to come. In John chapter 6 verse 47 it says that Jesus spoke and said ‘Verily, verily I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life’.

In verses 48-51 it says ‘I am that bread of life. Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world’.

Chapter 7

Summary: The Way we find True Love is by becoming ‘One’ again

In the beginning there was God. God gave us of his spirit in the beginning when he gave man life and man became a living soul. God created all things and all came from God who is Love, however only some will choose to remain as one in the love of God.

In 1 John chapter 2 verse 19 it says ‘They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us; but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us’.

It is only by choosing to be one with God by being led by the Spirit of God, that we will know that we are the sons of God.

In Romans chapter 8 verse 14 it says ‘For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God’. Verse 16 says ‘The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:’

By loving the spirit aspect of yourself and loving the spirit aspect of others, you will come to know that the spirit is the truth. That truth is that ‘God is Love’.

And that love which is of the spirit and not the flesh is the real truth. You need to realise and know what you are on the inside and not just what you are on the outside. What is abiding on the inside is in actual fact the real essence of what makes you, you!

I believe that God wants us to be one with him as it was in the beginning. I believe we were all one with God like ‘one love’ and one heart.

My heart believes that God sent Jesus so that we may all become one again through him, if we believe and know this truth. The more we know Jesus is the more we know love.

I believe our main purpose is to love the Lord and to love one another. God is love and I believe we are to seek God and the kingdom of God by believing that the True Living God is ‘One’ and is love.

If we accept God’s gift in Jesus we may become one love again. It all starts with love, Jesus is love and love is the way. I believe that Jesus is the way to never ending true love.

The soul of man and his desire for true love is the desire for God. It’s the desire to return to the original state of spiritual oneness and bliss that mankind were once in. In order to return to the state of oneness and true love for all eternity, I believe whilst we go through this physical journey we need to make a choice.

If you desire true love for eternity you need to choose God by accepting Jesus Christ. You need to choose to follow the guiding light of God; that light is found through opening the door of your heart to Jesus.

I believe that Jesus stands by the door to our hearts. In Revelation chapter 3 verse 20 it says ’Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me’.

You need to hear the voice of Jesus and open your heart and accept God’s love for you. Through the light of Jesus, God can show you the way home to true everlasting love.

You need to open your heart to Jesus, be a follower of Jesus, he is the door to all truth and the way to eternal light and love. He is the only way to true love. True love forever for all eternity, the hearts true desire, cannot be found through anyone and anything else.

We were all created with a spirit by the Word of God. I believe that when one is on a search for true love, what they are actually searching for is the Love of God.

In order to find that love, you need to find God, as God is love. The desire for true love is that wish to feel and connect to the love of God through the Spirit of God.

I believe that true love is given by God and is already within you and always has been from the moment the breath of life, the Spirit of life, was given to you.

I believe it’s only by deciding to walk in that love, by being led by the Spirit of God through Jesus, that the love of God will come alive within us. God is a Spirit, God is Truth, God is Love, God is Light, God is Life and Jesus the Son of God, is the way to all the things of God.

When you truly love someone you love their spirit, you love the inside; you’re really loving the spirit aspect of that person. By loving someone you can know that love is the truth, as when you love somebody you cannot see that love, but you know it’s real because you can feel it.

It’s a connection of love through the spirit, in that one person is loving the spirit, the inside of the other.

You cannot see this connection as it’s felt by the spirit, but you know it exists because each individual feels it in their heart and will feel blessed by the presence of it.

Once you know the Lord and learn to understand who you are in your soul and spirit then you will recognise that everyone no matter who they are needs love, as we all came from one God, one Lord. We are all one, joined and connected by the spirit of God as everything came from God.

The key to understanding who we are, is to understand that we are all alive by the breath, of the Spirit of the True Living God. We are linked together as one with God and others in spirit; it is a choice we need to make with our hearts to remain as one with God in our spirit.

God is in all and through all. The fact that love exists and God is love, proves the fact that the True Living God of the Holy Bible is real.

The True Living God is love and that is the truth. And that truth is within us all. How God’s love manifests itself within us, depends on whether or not we choose to be led by the Spirit of God. When you see that love is the truth, then you will see that Jesus came to remind us of that truth.

I remember once thinking to myself, if love exists and if God’s Word tells us that God is love, then that means the True Living God of the Holy Bible is the truth.

The fact that we experience love and desire love proves that we are children of the True Living God. When love is alive within us, this reminds us that the Living Lord Forever lives.

When we know and feel love we can see in our hearts and minds that true love is real and exists. The True Living God is true and exists. The search for true love can be found, because the True Living God of love and all things is real and can be found.

I believe you can have true love for someone if you have love for God too, because all things including all people came from God. To have more of God’s love truly dwell within us, entails loving not only those we know and feel close to, but loving those who we don’t know.

I believe if we truly love God who we cannot physically see, we have to try and love each other too. As a result of my own personal journey so far, I believe God wants us to love one another unconditionally and even to love those who may be deemed unworthy.

I believe once you have a relationship with Jesus, you will receive the love and the capacity to love in a more unconditional way.

This is not always easy especially when you have been hurt or damaged by another person in the past, but we are to try and forgive, move forward and carry on loving.

Yes of course the painful events of the past that may have occurred in your life may still hurt you, but you will come to understand that everything happens for a reason and we should not try to understand why things happen according to our own rationale and reasoning.

God is full of all wisdom. In Proverbs chapter 3 verse 5 it says ‘Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding’.

As God gives us more faith we learn to accept the past, put the past aside and put our full trust in God’s wisdom and try to carry on in love.

God has a plan for each of our lives and we may have to experience many things in order for us to reach a place of understanding in order to recognise and find out who we truly are.

We can eventually receive the good and all the love that God wants to give to us. Once you have gained wisdom and understanding and understand that God is the source of peace and true love, you can experience a better life for yourself and be of real benefit to others.

Yes there will be days when you still struggle, but when you abide in the remembrance of Jesus you will gain a peace that helps you to overcome things.

Once you know love and abide in love by loving others, then you will know the truth which is that God is love. The more you give love, the more of God’s love will abide within you.

You have to dwell in love to have true life dwell within you, as it’s only by dwelling in love that more love will come to dwell in you.

The more love that dwells within us, the happier we will all be. You have to give love in order to receive more love. The more love you give to others, the more you will receive, as more of God’s love will come to abide within.

I believe that this experience we are journeying through, is to remind us that everything is one, the way to God and to all truth is found through love and that love came to earth manifest as Jesus.

It is through our faith in Jesus that we become one with God. Once we hear the voice of Jesus, believe in Jesus, follow the way of Jesus and become one with Jesus we become one in the love of God. This I believe is the truth, to find true life which is to find the true love of God and to become one in the love of God.

Everything we experience in this life is part of a journey to show us who we really are. It’s to remind us that we came from the love of God. Love found through Jesus is what binds us together.

In John chapter 17 verse 21 it says Jesus spoke and said ‘That they all may be one; as thou, Father art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou has sent me. Verse 22 then says ‘And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one’.

As a follower of Jesus I believe that we are to become one with God, through the love of God, by helping others to find the love of God. Just as the Father and Son are one, through Jesus we can become one in the love of God.

Once you begin to share the love in you, with others, you will begin to see that love is the truth. Love is of the spirit and the spirit is the truth. Your spirit must be alive with the love and light of God in order for you to know true life.

To know God through Jesus who was sent, is the way to the true love you need for all eternity. The Father and the Son are one sealed together from the very beginning, throughout all eternity.

In the book of Revelation chapter 2 verse 17 it says Jesus spoke and said ‘Fear not; I am the first and the last: Verse 18 says ‘I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death’.

In Revelation chapter 22 verse 13 it says Jesus spoke and said ‘I am Alpha and O’me-ga, the beginning and the end, the first and the last’.

In regards to life here and in particular relationships, I believe that loving relationships can benefit those who partake in them.

They can provide some level of joy and happiness in this life, but I believe that the love of God is what is really meant by the term ‘true love’. I believe that knowing God and following the path of Jesus is the only way to true love forever.

I do believe that you can have a happy marriage or relationship whereby two people who are well suited, can truly love each other and that love can last a lifetime. However, again that love is only temporary based upon the limits of time in this world.

Everyone will experience the ‘first death’ as in everyone who has ever lived in this world, will eventually die and pass away from it.

The only way to have lasting true love that will endure for all time and beyond this time for all eternity, is to become one in the love of God, by becoming one with God.

For this reason I believe that the love of God is all we truly need. It’s the most important thing to realise whilst in this world. We do need love from each other whilst we are in this world, however we also need to know God’s love for us, so that the love in our hearts will live on for all eternity.

I believe God created us to have this true love and to share in this love. I believe love is of the truth and we have to seek the truth for ourselves, within ourselves.

I believe that knowing the love of God, is the way to the Kingdom of God. I do believe all good things shall be given to us, if only we choose to seek.

I believe the heart is the way to our spirit. You have to open your heart and see and hear with your heart, to find the true love of God.

Whoever hears the voice of Jesus has to listen and hear with their heart. The heart which is open to the voice of Jesus can see and find the truth, the way back to the love of God.

If you open your heart to Jesus and then become one with him, you will become one with the love of God. Once the door to your heart is opened, your spirit will come to life and you will come to perceive and understand more things, as the Words of Jesus will begin to minister unto your spirit.

Your mind will be filled with the spirit. As you renew the spirit of your mind, you will see things differently and begin to see that the love of God has always been with you.

You may have just ‘felt’ a separation, as the spirit of your mind couldn’t perceive it. Once you open your heart to the true love of God and begin to understand the true meaning of your journey here, you will find more peace.

The truth brings peace. I believe if you know the truth, are one with God and the love of God dwells within your spirit, then your spirit will live on.

In John chapter 17 verse 3 it says ‘And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou has sent’. If you hear the voice of Jesus, then you will find that he is the door to the Truth, the truth of all things.

We need to go through the Son to find the Father as they are one. If you have been listening to these words and you hear the voice of Jesus knocking the door to your heart, you should let him into your heart.

Don’t just allow yourself to forget about all this! Once you hear his voice and accept him as your Lord and Saviour and repent of your sins, his love will come to dwell in your heart. Once you take this step to change your life your spirit will be awakened and come to ‘life’.

If you want to accept God’s gift of love and everlasting life for all eternity, you must become one with God in your spirit. Jesus is the Good Shepherd. He knows who his sheep are. He will call his sheep and those who are his sheep, will hear his voice.

He is the door of the sheep. In John chapter 10 verse 7 it says ‘Verily, verily I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep’. Verse 9 says ‘I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture’.

If you still desire true love and Jesus is knocking the door to your heart today, then you should open the door of your heart to Jesus. He is the way to find the true love and the peace that you desire and need in your life.

He wants to abide in you and give you rest whilst you go through this journey. In order to become one with God, you must accept Jesus into your heart and open the door of your life to him. Then your relationship and connection to God will be restored as it was with mankind in the beginning.

This is the only way to the true unconditional love that you have always searched for and desired. We just need to open our hearts to the truth of God’s love for us.

Give Jesus your heart today and follow him and find the way to true life and the true love that will abide with you forevermore. Don’t put it off or ignore the feeling; I am sure that you can feel the call to your heart?

Don’t allow anything to stop you from receiving the true love you’ve always wanted in your heart. You were created for a purpose. You are here and on your way to finding the truth in this life, so that after this life, you can receive the gift of everlasting life.

Jesus has already paid the price for you, having loved you and having loved us all. All you need to do is believe in him. Believe that he still loves you and wants you to hear his voice and understand the truth. He wants you to abide in his love and he abide in you.

If you want to receive the gift of everlasting life, please open your heart to Jesus today. By knowing Jesus and going through this life we have the opportunity to have true love forever in the eternal life to come.

This is the only way to true love; we must open our hearts, find Jesus whilst we are here now and seek the Kingdom of God.

When you find the love within yourself and come to know the Kingdom of God, you will find the true love you have always desired and wanted. Then by God’s Grace you can abide in it. forever and ever.

Chapter 8

True Love in relationships

How to find the ultimate True Love in your life

Although I believe that God is the source of true love, I also believe that we can attain some form of true love within our lives, by sharing our love with others.

We can share our love with anyone we choose to, as well as with family members or in a committed marriage relationship.

Most of the time we usually associate the concept of true love in regards to finding the love of our lives; this is where we most commonly use and associate the term ‘true love’. So I will begin by discussing true love in relationships; how do we go about finding the true love partner of our lives?

I believe that true love comes from God, so in another sense, looking for our true love or a true love could mean that what we are actually looking for, is someone who wants to find and share in God’s true love just like we do.

I believe it is a place whereby you are both at peace inside, once you both know who you truly are.

What we want to find is that special someone who is at peace within themselves, having come across the knowledge of God’s love and wants to share that true love with us. So I would call this person our true love partner, otherwise referred to as our true love.

Once again this romantic notion of true love is all based upon our desire to find someone who is going to make us feel that whirlwind romantic feeling, unbelievable chemistry and that buzz of being ‘in love’. For true love we imagine all these things, but hope that it will be a feeling that continues to last.

All love comes from God and he is the one that puts love into our hearts. However when it comes to our belief in true love, we have come to believe that true love is slightly different compared to an ‘ordinary love’.

For some reason these different terms for love have become manifest in our understanding of love. Our association with the term true love, is described as the love that exists once we have a real intense feeling of love towards someone and may come after having known the person for a certain period of time.

I think we call it true because we believe that it is such a strong feeling between two people that despite the circumstances; whether it be a long distance relationship or a long time apart, that love will never end or go away.

Although there may be that feeling of an initial high or that feeling of euphoria; somehow we have the understanding that the intensity of that love doesn’t dissipate over time, it remains the same forever.

There is the differentiation between true love and simply being ‘in love’, as true love is considered to be a love that will always stand up against all types of testing including the test of time.

It’s a type of love that is considered to be unexplainable although many have attempted to come up with their own interpretation of it.

Generally it’s considered to be a love that continues to thrive even when the passion of simply being ‘in love’ has long faded away.

It’s understood that true love means loving someone very deeply for who they are both on the inside and outside.

It could also mean loving someone despite their faults and flaws; it means accepting the things we love and appreciate about someone.

We have to have enough love and patience to accept and overcome the other aspects of a person’s personality or character that we may not like or understand.

True love is when we come to see that this person is the perfect one for us; despite their imperfections. It’s the love counterpart who can match our intensity to love with a passion, despite the other obvious differences between us.

This is the form of true love that we are told to search for; the type of love that makes us feel on top of the world and weak at the knees.

This is the type of love where we are valued and loved simply for who we are. We have come to believe it exists and that someone who will complete us in every way is out there somewhere just waiting to be found!

As discussed in previous chapters, I would like to reiterate my view that in order to find anybody who we may consider to be our true love, we need to start by knowing God who is Love, the source of true love; then we need to know who we are ourselves.

We need to know our selves so that we can truly know who we are in all respects. Eventually we will come to realise what it takes to make our dreams come true and give us the real fulfilment that we want.

If we have no idea of who we are or what true love entails and means to us, how will we recognise true love when we find it?

True love could be standing right in front of us, but because we don’t understand our selves or know what we want, we are unable to see the person who is right for us.

I believe that the way we come to know ourselves is by recognising who we truly are from within.

As well as knowing that we are children of the True Living God, we need to know who we are in our core personality. We need to be aware of our individual talents and attributes. We need to be able to see what we have inside to give to someone else.

We need to be aware of our individualistic persona and energy. It starts by knowing what motivates us and makes us ‘tick’; what makes us feel happy and what makes us feel drained and demotivated?

We need to be aware of the things that inspire us, to be the best that we can be and do the best that we can do. What makes us feel the way we do? What do we truly want to achieve in our lives?

We all need to feel appreciated and loved for who we truly are; we need to discover ourselves, so that we can learn to go on to do the things that give us real satisfaction.

Once you begin to know yourself, you will begin to know what it is you truly need in your life, to bring you the happiness that will inspire you to be the best person you can be.

Once you discover and learn who you truly are, you will come to know and appreciate the good things about yourself.

Once you discover you’re self-worth then you will see that you can be of value to someone else. You will understand that you deserve to find someone who will value and love you, for who you truly are.

Therefore in order to attract the real love of another you have to truly come to know and love yourself. This does not mean that one should become egotistical, we should just come to love ourselves for the way that God created us.

This means acceptance and appreciation of the way that we look and feel; our facial and bodily features, our size and shape. This doesn’t always happen overnight.

However, once we truly come to know how special we are on the inside; by recognising our inner beauty and unique individual qualities, we will come to see that the image on the outside is of less importance.

To attract our true love, we need to love everything about ourselves on the outside, just like we eventually come to love and accept ourselves on the inside.

Once we find the beauty of who we are as individuals on the inside, then we will begin to reflect that beauty to the world on the outside.

It all starts from within, you have to let the beauty within you shine through so that others can see it, then they will come to see the real you! Then you will be on your way to attracting others towards you.

If we don’t learn to love and respect ourselves for everything that we are on the outside, then how can we expect someone else to come along and love and respect those bits too?

If we portray a negative self-image, then it’s only natural that other’s will come to perceive this negativity within us.

They may feel this vulnerability and try to take advantage of us. A negative self-image will only push potential partners away from us instead of invite them towards us.

They will see and perceive our lack of self confidence and self-esteem and this will only increase our own existing insecurities.

You have to reveal the light and love inside of you that you have to give. Just as you are looking for love, somebody else is looking for love too. If you hide the light and love within you, then how will anyone come to see and know the real you hidden inside?

Unless you make it clear that you’re a loving person, no one will know that you have so much love to give that it’s practically bursting to come out of you!

It is the love that is within you that is desperately waiting to come out, which will one day attract the true love of your life.

You need to walk in love to attract that special someone, who is also looking for true love; by knowing God the source of love and reflecting the light and love within you. In time you will attract the true love of your life.

It’s as simple as that, shine with love and you will attract those who shine and want to live a life dwelling in love just like you do.

I believe it’s been said that like attracts like, whatever we put out there is what we get back.

I think that it would be difficult to attract a highly passionate loving person if you don’t reflect those attributes yourself. How can you attract a beautiful loving person if you walk around with all of your own love concealed and covered in a cold hard shell?

The more you hide your true self from others then it stands to reason that the more others will hide who they truly are from you. The more you reveal the love inside you to others, the more others will reveal their love to you.

It is evident that people who are naturally happy or make an effort to appear happy will attract other people towards them.

Nobody wants to hang around with somebody who is totally miserable, especially if they are miserable for no valid reason!

Nobody is attracted to somebody who is constantly negative, deflated and appears to look self-defeated.

You cannot feel inspired by a person who displays such mannerisms. Yes we all have ‘off days’ that’s only natural, that comes with living in a stressful fast paced world, but we have to try and put our happy face on where possible.

We have to go out into the world put on a smiling face and show love to the people we interact with, regardless of how fed up or hurt we may be feeling inside. To attract love into our lives it’s always best to make an effort to be bright, cheerful and enthusiastic.

Positivity attracts those who are likeminded and positive. You can never be sure when you will meet that special someone so it’s always best that we look happy, full of love and at our best.

If you always feel vulnerable, desperate and down and out, then that is the type of relationship that you will attract into your life. If you are feeling unhappy and desperate it is quite likely that you will attract this type of partner towards you.

Two people who are feeling desperate and negative about themselves on the inside, can be a recipe for disaster. When your self-confidence and self-worth is low, you can become vulnerable and attract negativity into your life.

We can all feel this way at times but if you’re really searching for a loving partner to share your life with, it should all begin by sorting ourselves out from within first.

We have to reach a level of knowing who we are in our spirit; loving the inner part of us as well as who we are on the outside, so that we can attract someone who will really respect and cherish us for who we are.

Until a person reaches a point of appreciation of their self-worth, they will continue to attract negative mates into their lives instead of finding a true love partner.

They will also continue to accept standards that continue to serve their unhappiness and contribute to a cycle of resentment.

They may continue on a downward spiral further damaging their own self-esteem and resent the other person. This is the opposite of true love; so the way to finding the right person really does begin by first fixing any issues within.

Once you start to feel good about yourself both inside and out; when you begin to see and believe that you have something of real value to offer to another, then you will be on your way to finding your social counterpart the true love partner of your life, who truly makes you happy by meeting your expectations of love.

My understanding is that you need to truly know yourself, love yourself and always be yourself before attracting the partner of your dreams into your life.

Once you are being yourself, then your true love can really see you and love you for who you are. They will love what they see once they eventually come along. In order for the love to be true we have to love our partners for who they truly are too.

If you always pretend to be something other than what you truly are, then you will be hiding the real you. The person you hope will love you, will never get the opportunity to love and accept the real you and love you for who you truly are on the inside.

If you are intentionally fake and pretentious on the outside, how can you expect anyone to truly know you and love you? How can you expect to find the true love companion that your heart desires?

Nobody can truly love something or someone that appears to be different, than what it truly is? How can we love a lie by loving someone we don’t truly know?

If two people don’t truly know and accept one another for who they are, then how can they expect the love they share to be totally true?

It’s always within your best interests to be totally true to yourself. You have to stick to your own sense of morality and keep to your own standards. Be who you are meant to be; find the real you and live according to who you are.

It makes no sense to change who you are just in order to attract someone. Changing who you are in order for someone to love you, means that the person isn’t loving you for who you truly are at all. That person won’t be loving you but will be loving the false image that you have created.

It’s always good to remain true to yourself without compromise. This way you’re always being true to yourself and true to the other person.

Once both individuals are being true, then love has a way of finding itself into both hearts, if that love is meant to be.

If you are afraid that somebody won’t love you for who you are and love the real you, then that simply means that, that particular person isn’t meant for you.

The true love partner of your life will love you for who you are regardless of your imperfections.

Your true love won’t just love you for your physical attributes. They won’t just love you for your looks but will love you for the real elements of who you truly are. They will love you for who you are as a person in your spirit and not just for what you appear to be in the flesh.

I believe a true love partner will love you for your mind; including the love and joy inside of you, opposed to just loving you for how beautiful you are on the outside.

Although external beauty is a wonderful thing, good looks are only temporary and can change or fade. That person will need to love other aspects of you for them to be able to truly love you.

A true partner will be interested in how you think; they will be interested in your welfare and happiness. They will want to inspire and encourage you to fulfil your hopes and dreams.

They will hope to help make your dreams become a reality. Your goals will be an important concern to them, just as they are important to you.

The one who truly loves you will be interested in having a committed long term future with you; once someone knows that you are ‘the one’ then they will do all that they can not to lose you. They may even sacrifice or put their own plans on hold, just so that they can be with you.

Basically when you meet the one who truly loves you it will become clear and evident; they will make every effort to let you know exactly how they feel. They will illustrate the fact that they truly care about you.

It’s not all about having a crazy passionate love affair; the one who truly loves you will be concerned about your long term happiness, opposed to just hanging around to enjoy fun times with you.

They will be interested in how you feel on the inside opposed to just having an interest in your physical assets on the outside.

I believe a true love will be interested in spending quality time with you regardless of what you are doing; they won’t only request the pleasure of your company for fun times. They will still be there when the going gets tough.

I believe in order to find true love with someone, you have to come together with someone who is similar in spirit to yourself. You need to meet someone who is similar on the inside. This person needs to have a similar mind set to you.

I believe that if two people think the same way in their minds, then they will look at life in a similar way. They will view and value the relationship according to the same mind set. It’s likely that if both people think the same, then naturally both individuals will equally value the significance of the union.

If you’re a romantic person looking for a long term committed relationship, then it makes no sense to settle with a person who does not want a commitment.

This will just leave you feeling unsatisfied trying to accomplish something with someone who clearly doesn’t want the same thing.

To settle with somebody who you hope may change in the future, is pointless too. You may waste years trying to change somebody into the partner you wish them to be. That person may never change; you have to accept the person as they are or seek a more suitable partner elsewhere.

It makes no sense to be with someone who cannot meet your needs, as it means that you are settling for something that you don’t truly want.

You will be unsatisfied and get bored. Eventually you will begin to resent that person for being unable to live up to being the person you desire them to be.

So to find true love with someone means to both know and accept yourself and be able to fully appreciate and accept the person you have chosen to be with.

I also believe that as God is Love and true love comes from God; the more you know God and accept that you came into being by the Word of God, the more you will know true love. I believe that you have to know and believe in God to truly know yourself, as everything came from God.

We have to know God the source of love to be able to love others more unconditionally. Once you accept yourself and accept your partner by loving them for who they truly are, it means that you are on your way to loving someone unconditionally, which is the same way that God loves us.

Therefore I believe you have to love yourself unconditionally and love your partner unconditionally before you can begin to share real true love between you.

I also believe that God needs to be at the centre of your life, before you can find a lasting true love. You can go through many potential partners hoping and believing that they are the right one for you.

They may appear to be the right person on the outside and you may think that you know who they are on the inside. Some would even believe that if you have known someone for a long time, that’s an indication that you really know them.

However, it is God alone who truly knows who each one of us are on the inside. Time is not the best indication for knowing if a person is truly right for you. God is the one who created us, he knows who we are deep within and he knows who the right person for us is.

I don’t doubt that we can meet and share our lives with one or many love interests during our lifetimes.

At the best of times we may meet someone, settle down and have a family; as a result of financial ties and circumstances we may know that this person isn’t totally right for us, but we believe that it is too complicated to make a change, so we accept the situation as we feel that we have no choice but to make do!

Sometimes we may also choose the wrong person and continue to love them, despite the fact that they have made it perfectly clear that they don’t truly love us.

Over and over we attempt to seek our true love and the negative cycle continues. Eventually we may find ourselves growing more and more desperate to find that true love, that in the end we begin to lose our own sense of self along the way.

And that is the problem! When we fail to make God the centre of our lives and we try to do all things on our own without praying to God for his help, we usually end up making the wrong decisions.

God knows everything, he alone knows what is best for us, he knows who in the world is the best person suited to us. So it seems logical that we should make him the centre of our lives and involve him in all our affairs.

I have personally come to realise this through experience in my own life. God needs to have control in our lives in order that we become the best person he created us to be.

God created us, he knows what is behind us and what is in front of us, so it stands to reason that he knows who and what is best for our lives.

The more you forget to involve God in all your affairs including your love life, the harder it will be for you to meet the right person.

Once you give God control of your life, then he can guide you towards the person who is most suitable for you. In Proverbs chapter 3 verse 6 it says ‘In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths’.

So having God in your life really does make sense! Giving God control of your love life, is the true way to find the partner who can share true love with you.

Once you ask God to do his Will in your life, you will be surprised at the number of doors that begin to open for you. You need to put all things into his hands and let him take full control of your life and he will lead you towards that person who will truly love you.

If you want a lasting love, rather than just another relationship disaster, it makes sense to put your full trust in God, instead of putting trust in your own sense of judgement.

Your own sense of judgement cannot provide you with that sense of comfort that you have, truly knowing that you have asked God to bring you the right person.

We need to trust in God and leave all things in the hands of God. Your true love partner may not arrive overnight; if you have patience and continue to pray, when you are not expecting it, that true love will more than likely arrive in your life!

“Hang on a minute was that the door knocking!” Well maybe not today, but with God’s help your true love partner will come knocking one day.

True love is real, just as God is real. When you find that special person you will see that they want to feel real love just as much as you do. They will love you for who you truly are, because they will be so happy to have finally met someone who wants the same thing that they do!

If you really want to share true love with someone, then you need to start your journey by knowing the source of true love. Having Jesus in your life is the way to true love in your life now and for all eternity.

The love of Jesus can also guide you to the true love partner you desire to share your life with in this lifetime.

May God bless you and help you to find your heart’s desire!
